Minimally invasive device for cortical bone removal.
Micross has been designed to remove chips or scales of cortical bone. Due to its unique shape, it can be used for many different surgical applications. Because of the compact blade and handle design, clinicians can acces narrow areas that are normally hard to reach with traditional, more invasive instruments. In addition, it can also be inserted in small tunnels made by the surgeon to avoid opening large areas in the tissues around the bone.
To shape and size of the removed bone chips are ideal for most overgrafting procedures.
In addition, Micross can be used to obtain bone shavings of suitable shape and size to fill up the minor defects.
